It's been in the works for a few months but the Lab has now begun the process of relocating again. The last time I moved was in 2014 and that was pretty simple - from one side of the city to the other. This time it's a more major change, the Lab will now be based in Bangkok, Thailand.
Moving internationally takes a bit longer obviously so I'm not going to have the chance to do any electronics related work for a few months at least. Even software related work is going to be a bit constrained until we settle into our final location.
Thankfully I have a backlog of draft posts that I can finally sit down and finish off; I haven't been idle over the past few months but with a lot of things going on updating the site fell to a much lower priority than normal. I have been doing a lot of work with containers (Docker and the like) and processing data with microservices so that will be the focus of a lot of the posts. There are also a few smaller projects that didn't progress past the design stage - it seems worthwhile to put them up as well in case anyone wants to take them further.
So, exciting times ahead for the Lab and a bit of a change in focus as well. Personally I'm looking forward to it, I just hope I can keep up with everything.
